A quick, skimmable overview for expats finishing developer-standard homes.
The 60-Second Snapshot (PLN)
Typical mid-spec totals (what most clients choose):
Kitchen (8 running meter of cabinets, quartz top): from 44k to 50k
Wardrobe (3 running meter, hinged + drawers): from 9k to 12k
Bathroom vanity + tall unit: from 6k to 8k
Hallway storage (3 running meter): from 9k to 12k
Media wall (3.5 m, slats + LED): from 10k to 13k
Current lead times:
Design: from 1 to 2 weeks
Production: from 8 to 12 weeks (painted/veneer: from 12 to 16 weeks)
Install: from 1 to 3 days per room (add from 5 to 10 days for stone templating and fit)
Quick rule: kitchens usually take the biggest slice, wardrobes next. Add 10–15% contingency for upgrades or site surprises.

What Drives the Price (in plain English)
Finish of the fronts — laminate (value), painted MDF (mid), veneer (premium).
Hardware — hinges, drawer slides, lift systems; soft-close and full-extension cost more but last longer.
Worktop — laminate < solid wood < quartz/sintered stone. Stone needs templating and can add about a week.
Site realities also matter: out-of-plumb walls, tight staircases, parking/access.
Spend vs Save — a Fast Decision Guide
Kitchen: Spend on hinges/slides and the worktop; save with fewer internal drawers and a laminate splashback.
Wardrobe: Spend on drawers and lighting (you’ll use them daily); save by choosing hinged over sliding doors.
Bathroom: Spend on moisture-resistant boards and sealed edges; save with a laminate top + ceramic basin.
Hallway: Spend on durable fronts and kick areas; save with open niches in low-visibility zones.
Media: Spend on cable management and ventilation; save with a painted wall panel instead of deep boxes.
Big-box alternatives (Agata, BRW, Castorama)
If you’re price-shopping, you can often buy cabinetry cheaper from large retailers such as Agata Meble, Black Red White (BRW), Castorama, and similar chains. The trade-off is limited customization (fixed modules, sizes, and finishes), thinner boards and lower-grade hardware used to drive costs down, and generally basic delivery/assembly. Adapting units to out-of-plumb walls, tall doors, corner mechanisms, or special appliances is usually not included. The upfront price is lower, but fit, longevity, and service access can suffer—and changes later can quickly erase the savings.
Simple Timeline (so nothing clashes)
Design: from 1 to 2 weeks → drawings and approvals
Production: from 8 to 12 weeks (painted/veneer: from 12 to 16 weeks)
Install: from 1 to 3 days per room → allow from 5 to 10 extra days after kitchen install for stone worktop templating and fit
Snag: from 1 to 2 visits
When to measure: after floors, doors, and ceilings are in and walls have a first coat of paint. Before ordering: confirm handle positions, edge details, lighting, and service access (valves, traps, LED drivers).

Real-World Examples (mid-spec feel)
60 m² city flat — 7.5 running meter kitchen + 2.5 running meter hallway + 2 running meter wardrobe: from 48k to 66k depending on fronts and hardware.
Family bathroom refresh — 100 cm vanity + tall unit: from 6.8k to 9.5k (laminate top to quartz top).
Media wall 3.5 m with slats and LED: from 8.5k to 15k depending on features.
Common Pitfalls (avoid these five)
Forgetting the worktop budget — stone (sintered quartz, granite) is a separate line with cut-outs and splashbacks.
No access to valves/traps/drivers — plan hidden hatches you can actually open.
Tall doors rubbing — plinth levelling and scribed fillers fix uneven floors/walls.
LED with nowhere to breathe — drivers need ventilation and service space.
Over-spec where it doesn’t matter — reserve premium finishes for high-touch areas.
